There are 397 parks in Seattle! The largest one is Discovery Park with 534 acres including urban wilderness, four distinct habitats and 11.810 miles of trail.

Here are my personal favorites:

Golden Gardens in Ballard, Luther Burbank Park on Mercer Island, and Alki in West Seattle.

I also highly recommend day trips to the San Juan Islands, Port Townsend, Poulsbo and Hood Canal. I have taken healthy hikes at Baker Hot Springs, and kayaked around the Puget Sound. For kayak rental, visit Northwest Outdoor Center and Aqua Verde Cafe and Paddle Club.

For cultural fair I enjoy our Pacific Science Center for exhibits, Seattle Art Museum, and the Woodland Park Zoo is a big favorite!

Just thinking about all of this activity makes me famished—time to check out more new restaurants in our diverse neighborhoods. Call me for the latest and greatest!
